With over 22,000 horse races held annually in the U.S.A. Horse racing has been one of the most popular and inspirational sports of good and bad times. It is a sport that should be held with respect and admiration. Unfortunately as popular and wonderful as it is it still remains one of the most dangerous for the riders. Each year at least two jockey's are killed and many others are seriously injured and even paralyzed.
What is most disturbing is the support network for the injured Jockey is limited. Because of the danger many go uninsured for long term disability care. This is why churchill Thoroughbreds and many others are asking for your contribution support to PDJF.

A Word From The Owner

Hi, I am the owner and Trainer of Thoroughbred Sport Horses. I have been riding and training for 40 years. I competed mostly up in New England both as a Hunter Jumper rider and A Gymnast. Pony Hunters through Medal Maclays up through all levels of the Jumpers. As an adult I spent some time on the race track galloping and breezing Thoroughbreds. I wanted to learn their life to be better at understanding them.

I competed as a child from 5 until 20. All my weekends were of Saturday and Sunday competitions. I was very successful in both sports. Of course, with no childhood and only training and competing it was inevitable. I worked hard. But, what I received the most out of this was the life lessons which has made me strong today.

I learned how to fail first. I believe if you don't' know how to fail then you will never succeed. Then how to persevere and not give up. I learned that the ribbons will come (Quote from trainer Jane Dow Burt). And they did.

What's most important is that you learn and your partner learns each time you step in the ring.

Now that I am an adult I wanted to contribute my knowledge and skills to help benefit these great horses and help riders find the best partners. I have chose to give my life to the Thoroughbred Industry. I have a love and passion for horses and especially the Thoroughbred. I am humble and happy at the same time to say that I have made a huge difference in continuing the training and rehoming of these special horses. The success is because of many reasons.

Of course Safety Comes First Very important to me.

1. I truly care where these horses go.

2. Its important to me that the new owner is happy with the horse. Other wise the future of the horse is jeopardized.

3. I put individual care and training into each horse. I know each horse very well and place them accordingly with their new owners.

4. I stay in touch with the owners and assist and help if needed.

5. I guarantee both equine and new owner of satisfaction with an exchange policy.

In closing I first want to say, Thank you to all our customers who have been so wonderful in giving these great horses new homes and care and love. To our new customers, we welcome you and will try and help you in any way we can to make this a fun and enjoyable experience.
